Secrets….. Shhhhhhhhhh!!

Do you know that it is the secrets in our lives that keep us stuck.  They keep us paralyzed.  Maybe they keep us terrorized.  I had lots of secrets and my secrets drove me to feel insane until one day.  I decided I would have no more secrets.  I realized the secrets I had took me down to depression, anxiety and fear.  I figured the best way to get past this was to believe God’s word.  In Ephesians 5:11-14 it says  ”Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.  For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.  But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible.  This is why it is said:

“Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead,

And Christ will shine on you.”

Everything in us must be exposed to the God of light.  When light comes into a room, when we turn on a switch, there is light in every corner of the room.  Darkness cannot stay!  So when we tell our secrets to God almighty he can wipe them away!  He brings light in to the darkness of our lives!

For years I held secrets in.  Secrets of shame, secrets of guilt and the list goes on and on, until one day I decided to give those secrets to God.  I decided I could no longer keep those secrets to myself and I had to trust God with them.  Was this hard?  Absolutely!  Was I scared?  Absolutely!  I was comfortable with them.  I was used to them.  But I decided I couldn’t be held down anymore by the things that had destroyed me.  I couldn’t accept that for myself!   Satan doesn’t want us to release any secrets to God.  He will distract us, try to tell us God will condemn us, but this is a lie.  God’s word says he is our friend, our counselor, our father!  We must choose to believe the word of God instead of the enemy.

“Romans 16:20 says “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. “  This is the word of God!  If we believe the word of God, then we must believe that God is peace, and Satan will be crushed! Allow God to crush your secrets so Satan can no longer have power in your life.  This verse also says “your feet”.  That means you have the power as a child of God to crush Satan! Cry out to God.  He loves you beyond measure!  Crush Satan and tell him he will no longer have control over your thoughts, mind and life!

Take action now!  If you don’t know how, then go to a counselor that can help you, go to a friend, go to a pastor and just do it!  No longer accept just good enough.  Go for the gusto!  For the abundance God has for you!  He loves you and wants the best for you!\

Just do it!
