The Fusion tea party was a hit! As girls walked in they were greeted and crown as a daughter of God and given a boa and told they were wrapped in God’s love. It was wonderful to see as they came in they were taken off guard and not sure what to think as we greeted them with love and attention and then took pictures with their friends. As the tea progress they you could see that they were experiencing the love of God through the fusion leaders talking to them, praying with them and more!
As Louetta spoke about the way Jesus see us, girls started to respond to the way Jesus sees them and they started to share who they felt they were in God. One of the girls said that she felt worthless and unlovable, but she said as she heard Louetta’s story she started to realize she isn’t worthless and God loves her! The girls wrote on a black stone what they were to Jesus and they were excited to take the rock home to remind themselves of who they were in Him!
Pam spoke on the wagon theory and how we need to go to God with our shame, guilt, abandonment, etc. and how God wants us to cry out to Him with all things. That he is our best friend and when we cry he cries too. His longing is for us to come to Him with everything! It was incredible to see how girls responded to the message as they realized the things they had been carrying on their wagon. Leaders were able to pray for these girls and help them to see that they don’t have to carry things, but they can give them to God their Father!
Heather led worship and sand the song “Oh how he loves us”. The girls worshipped their hearts out as they knew they were loved by God. Heather then sang the song “Ordinary” which was a great song that talks about how Jesus see us as not ordinary but incredible!
Thanks to all who made this tea a success. It was incredible how women came together to make this happen and sacrificed their time to send a whole weekend to help girls feel loved as God loves us!!
